Amelia’s Dad bought her a beautiful white dress that they just had to have portraits taken in. They decided to take her to Dow Gardens for her portraits. DJ came in at only 6 days old for his first portrait session! He slept through most of it, allowing us to get some great shots! We put a hat on him for a few pictures, which turned out so cute! Plus we did some pictures with his parents that he opened up his eyes for. Here are a few of our favorite images.

Jocelyn is part of our Birthday Club program. She came in for her 3 year pictures and she is a little ham! She had such a good time being in front of the camera! She enjoyed spinning in her dress and taking pictures with some flowers. Pretty soon she will be a big sister to not one, but two babies! Here are a few of our favorite images from her session!

Eli came in for his 6 month pictures and boy was he a happy little guy! He was nothing but smiles! Eli enjoyed looking at himself in the mirror, and we got some pictures of him sucking his thumb, which is truly him at this age. Here are a couple of our favorite images from his session!

Conner came in for his 7 month session. He was a happy little guy who loved to show his big smile. He enjoyed being in the bathtub and he also loved his green hat. We can’t wait for him to come back for his 9 month session!

Every year we attend the Senior Photographers International Convention in Florida as a way to get some new ideas and see what trends are in the photography industry. Our two photographers, Bruce and Steffanie are also able to enter one senior boy and one senior girl folio into a print competition. We are pleased to announce that Bruce was awarded Senior Photographer of the Year for the second year in a row! Steffanie received runner-up! We were thrilled to see that out of 400 members of the organization we took first and second place! Congratulations Bruce and Steffanie!

Corbin is a very handsome baby, especially in his tie! He loved to smile at everyone. He also brought in his monkey friend so he could take a picture with him too! He will also be a big Tigers fan with his jersey, mit, and baseball! Corbin had a big variety of portraits, and we can’t wait for him to come back for his 9 month session!

Riley is a very happy little guy! He loves his Disney characters which were shown on his birthday balloons, cake, and even on his outfit! Riley was very outgoing and definitely wasn’t afraid to show his personality. His photographs definitely portrayed his great personality and his big smile!

Viviana is a beautiful girl who would smile at her Mom when she made her monkey noises. She was very interested in the pearl necklaces around her neck for some of the photographs in the bowl. Overall, she was a great baby to photograph and we can’t wait for her to come back for her 1 Year session!

Gracie is a baby who absolutely loves to lay on her back. She always seemed happy when she was on her back. Gracie is also very strong! When she was propped up on a pillow, she would try to push herself forward and sit right up all by herself! Gracie had a wonderful session and we can’t wait to have her back in 3 months!

Kieran is definitely not a shy guy. He wanted to get his picture taken and he was excited! Kieran showed off his big smile, and also had some fun jumping around. Kieran had a great time and was not afraid to show it. His portraits definitely portray his fun personality.

This family was very fun to photograph. They were all very happy and excited to come in and get that new family portrait! Wyatt was happy as usual, and Priya was happy to come along this week and have her turn to get her picture taken again! A very nice family who turned out to have once again, amazing portraits.

Wyatt loved to be socialized with. You could say one word to him and he would put on his big smile! He would always keep an eye on everything that was going on, and would never miss a second! He was an easy-going baby, who turned out to have a great session!

Georgia was a very happy baby who loved to show her smile. Her bright blue eyes lit up the room. We had the chance to use a couple of our new backgrounds with her which was great! Her outfits definitely brought out her personality which made the session very successful.

It’s been a great month for family portraits! We have seen many old and new faces this Winter. Family shoots are always a ton of fun and full of laughs. We have been exploring new ground recently. Bruce has been climbing up ladders to the ceiling to get cool new angles, and we’ve come up with a bunch of new and very exciting ideas for this Summer! We can’t wait to see what 2012 brings!
